BARBARA JONESEXECUTIVE DIRECTORBarbara is Executive Mandala’s founder and Managing Director, and is a widely acknowledged specialist in the field of human change. She has helped many executives to significantly transform the way they operate in their roles, bringing about higher levels of personal performance and organisational success.
She specialises in leadership development, both at an individual and team leadership level. Her work in this area is based on a broad principle that when technically competent business leaders learn to become personally aware, and strengthen their mental capability, they work more easily within high pressure scenarios, and build stronger relationships with others, based on trust, openness, and mutual connection.
Her career spans 30 years – and during this time, her business experience has been gained both domestically as well as internationally. Until very recently, Barbara headed up the executive coaching business for an international consulting firm across the Asia Pacific region. In these positions, Barbara was responsible for developing the expertise of a cadre of coaches across a number of cultures in the region, including India, Greater China and Korea. She also personally delivered coaching to senior level executives throughout these regions – and continues to do so. As a consequence of work successfully carried out in India, she was recently appointed to the International Faculty of a new leadership school based in New Delhi, the School of Inspired Leadership.
Her special interest has always been in human change, and each role she has had, has focussed on this specific area of development. She believes wholeheartedly that people can make significant change in their lives……………if they so desire!
She is a member of the teaching faculty of Jansen Newman Institute of Psychotherapy, and teaches third year students in organisational structure and behavioural dynamics. She also heads up the Summer School Elective on Coaching Skills for Psychotherapists, and is a member of the academic design team for the new Bachelor of Social Science program, responsible for creating unit outlines for both Leadership Development and Coaching in the Workplace.
